Departure from Bangalore to Hampi
Your journey with Backpackclan begins as we depart from Bangalore for Hampi, covering approximately 340 km in a comfortable Tempo Traveller or minibus. Pickup will be arranged from multiple convenient locations across the city, including Banashankari Bus Stop, BTM Layout, Silk Board, Domlur, MG Road, Goraguntepalya, Yeshwanthpura, and Koramangala. Sit back and enjoy the overnight ride as we head toward the historic ruins of Hampi.
Arrive in Hampi & Explore the Ancient Capital
We reach Hampi early in the morning by 6 AM. Upon arrival, check in at the campsite, freshen up, and enjoy a hearty breakfast. The day’s exploration begins with a visit to the iconic Vijaya Vittala Temple, famous for its Stone Chariot and musical pillars. After spending some time there, enjoy a self-sponsored lunch at a local restaurant of your choice.
Post lunch, we’ll visit the Queen’s Bathhouse, followed by Mahanavami Dibba, the underground chamber, and the royal palace ruins, offering insights into the grandeur of the Vijayanagara Empire. Our next stops include the sacred Hazara Rama Temple, the regal Elephant Stables, the Hampi Museum, and the elegant Lotus Mahal. Later, we’ll explore the Laxmi-Narasimha Temple and hike up Hemakuta Hill to witness a beautiful sunset over the ruins. We conclude the day with a visit to the revered Virupaksha Temple, before returning to the camp for rest, a campfire gathering, and a delicious dinner.
Sunrise Trek & Sanapur Lake
Enjoy a relaxed morning and breakfast at the camp. We then head to Anjanadri Betta, believed to be the birthplace of Lord Hanuman. A short trek to the top offers panoramic views of Hampi’s surreal landscape. After descending, enjoy a self-sponsored lunch at a local eatery.
Post-lunch, we visit Sanapur Lake, known for its serene vibe and optional adventure activities like coracle rides and cliff jumping (self-sponsored). Please note: there are no changing rooms available at the lake, so only participate in cliff jumping if you’re comfortable changing in the vehicle.
By evening, we begin our return journey to Bangalore, with a stop for a self-sponsored dinner en route. Expect to reach Bangalore early the next morning, bringing this enriching Hampi experience with Backpackclan to a close.

Any increase in cost because of change in the itinerary due to reasons beyond our control (force majeure) like landslides, riots, traffic jams etc. | Any dispute is subject to Delhi jurisdiction only.
