Trekkers will be picked up from Dehradun at 6:30 AM for a 10-hour drive covering 220 km to Sankri. Arriving by 5:00 PM, you’ll explore this charming village, known for its central market and apple orchards. On clear days, enjoy stunning views of the Swargarohini peak. Relax and unwind overnight in a guesthouse or camps, preparing for the trek ahead.

We start early after breakfast and drive through a forest road to reach Taluka in about an hour. During heavy rains, the road may become unsafe, requiring an 8 km walk. The trail crosses streams merging with the Supin River. After a few hours of walking, the village of Gangad appears across the river on the left.

We start the day heading towards Osla, the last village on the Har Ki Dun route. The trail gradually ascends, offering views of the river far below and the confluence of the Supin River with the Ruinsara Valley river. Today’s shorter trek allows time to acclimatize to the altitude and prepare for the next day’s journey.

Today's trek is long as we visit Har Ki Dun and Marinda Tal, a small lake 2 km beyond Har Ki Dun. The trail passes through forests and opens into the panoramic Har Ki Dun valley, located at the junction of two glaciers— Jaundhar and Hata. Explore vast meadows, Bhojpatra forests, or trek closer to the Jaundhar glacier and Swargarohini peak. After a short visit to Marinda Tal, formed by a boulder blocking the river, we return to Kalkatidhar.

The journey back to Osla is an easy walk with scenic views of the valley descending towards Taluka. Near the stream intersection, spot a rarely taken trail leading to Ruinsara Lake. Upon reaching Osla, explore the village, interact with locals, and experience Garhwali culture. We then proceed to Puani Garat, our previous campsite, where you can relax and bask in the sun, soaking in the serene surroundings and reflecting on the trek’s beauty.

Early in the morning, we leave the village of Osla and trek till Taluka. The walk is downhill and hence takes lesser time than before. We walk to the true left of the River Supin until We finally arrive at Taluka, from where a vehicle takes us back to Sankri. We retire for the day in camp alongside the river or in a guest house in Sankri.

The trek to Har ki Dun concludes today as we leave Sankri and reach Dehradun by late afternoon.
