The trek begins from Kareri village, a quaint hamlet near Dharamshala. Spanning approximately 13 km one way, the trail takes you through dense pine and oak forests, scenic meadows, and gushing streams. The Nyund River accompanies you for most of the journey, adding a refreshing charm. One of the highlights of the trek is the vibrant flora and fauna, with an abundance of rhododendron trees and occasional
sightings of Himalayan birds. The route becomes more rugged as you ascend, with rocky paths leading to the lake. Upon reaching Kareri Lake, the pristine beauty and peaceful surroundings are worth every effort. The lake is also a base for treks to nearby passes and peaks in the Dhauladhar range. Start your journey at 9:00 AM from McLeodganj/Dharamshala with a scenic ride to Kareri Village. Trek through streams, pine forests, and boulders to Kareri Lake (3,300m), enjoying stunning views of the Minkiani Pass and the serene blue lake. After soaking in the beauty, return to Reoti for campsite relaxation. End your day with a hearty dinner and stargazing, surrounded by the peaceful mountain ambiance.

Start your day with breakfast before beginning the descent to Kareri Village. The easier downhill trek offers a fresh perspective of the scenic surroundings. Upon reaching the village, take a moment to relax and reflect on your journey. A cab will be ready to transfer you back to McLeodganj. Arrive in McLeodganj later in the day, marking the end of your memorable Kareri Lake trek experience filled with adventure and stunning Himalayan views.

46 Days or more before date of departure: 25% of total cost. | 31 - 45 Days before date of departure: 50% of total cost. | 30 days before date of departure: 100% of total cost.
