Trekking Distance: 6 Km (one way) | Duration: Approx. 6 Hours | Elevation Gain: 2,000 Ft
Begin your midnight trek from Leta Campsite, heading toward the famous Triund Top via Katrani Dhar. The trail is well-marked and offers a gradual ascent through dense oak and rhododendron forests, with occasional glimpses of the starlit sky above and the snow-capped Dhauladhar peaks in the distance.
As dawn breaks, reach Triund, a scenic ridge offering panoramic sunrise views over the Kangra Valley on one side and the Dhauladhar mountain range on the other — a perfect reward for the climb.
From Triund, continue your adventure toward Laka Glacier. The terrain becomes more rugged and dramatic as you gain elevation, with the trail leading to a spectacular snow-covered glacial expanse, especially stunning post-monsoon and in early summer.
After spending some time soaking in the high-altitude beauty, begin your descent back to Leta Campsite. Unwind with a hearty dinner around a bonfire, sharing stories under the stars before a peaceful overnight stay in the lap of the Himalayas.
Downhill Trek to McLeodganj | Departure
