Overview
The Valley of Flowers trek is a mesmerizing journey through the heart of the Himalayas, offering a breathtaking blend of natural beauty and serenity. Starting from Govindghat, the trail takes you through picturesque villages, lush forests, and the sparkling Pushpawati River. En route, Ghangaria serves as a serene base camp before heading to the main valley. As you enter the Valley of Flowers, a colorful carpet of blooming flowers like blue poppies, orchids, and daisies greets you, set against the backdrop of snow-capped peaks. The trek also offers the chance to visit Hemkund Sahib, a revered Sikh pilgrimage site nestled at 15,200 feet. The tranquil lake and surrounding mountains add to the spiritual experience. Ideal from July to September, the trek showcases the valley in full bloom, with monsoon rains enhancing its charm. Meet at Haridwar Railway Station at 6 AM to begin your journey to Govind Ghat via Joshimath. The 9-10 hour drive offers stunning views of the Alaknanda River, sharp bends, and the holy confluence at Devprayag where the Ganges forms. Arrive at the base camp (1,828 m) by evening, soak in views of Hathi Parvat, and acclimatize. Enjoy a hearty dinner before retiring to your hotel or homestay for the night.
Start your day with bre of and drive 4 km to Pulna before trekking to Ghangaria (9,600 ft). The 5-6 hour trek features a gradual incline on a well-defined trail alongside the Laxman Ganga River. Enjoy scenic views, green forests, and dhabas for water refills. Cross the river mid-trek, then ascend to Ghangaria, known for its helipad, camping spaces, and Sikh pilgrims. Upon arrival, rest, explore the town, and enjoy a hot meal before preparing for the next day.
Start early for a 6-7 hour trek (9,600 ft to 11,500 ft) to the Valley of Flowers. Enjoy a gradual ascent through scenic trails, crossing streams and vibrant flora like Geraniums, Blue Poppy, and Himalayan Roses. Enter the Valley of Flowers National Park, where a breathtaking expanse of colorful blooms awaits. Admire the Pushpavati River and surrounding peaks. After exploring, return to Ghangaria for rest and a hearty dinner, completing a day filled with nature's wonders.
Begin early for the challenging 9-10 hour trek (9,600 ft to 14,107 ft) to Hemkund Sahib. The steep ascent offers waterfalls, improving vistas, and rare sights like Brahma Kamal. Take breaks to avoid altitude sickness as oxygen decreases. At Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara, enjoy the tranquil lake and its serene beauty.After lunch, descend carefully to Ghangaria, as the steep path can strain your knees. Reach Ghangaria by evening for dinner and rest, completing a day of spiritual and scenic exploration.
Start your day with a beautiful sunrise and hearty breakfast.Begin the 4-hour descent (9,600 ft to 6,300 ft) covering 9 km to Pulna, followed by a 4 km drive to Govindghat. Refill water at dhabas along the way. Enjoy lunch upon arrival at Govindghat, aiming to reach early.Use the extra time to explore nearby attractions like Auli at your leisure.End the day with dinner and an overnight stay, wrapping up your trek on a relaxed note.
Time To Say Goodbye With Memorable Memories Start with a fulfilling breakfast and then we leave for the long drive back down to Haridwar. You will reach Haridwar late in the afternoon, as your journey with us comes to an end.
