The trek typically spans 3 days. The first day involves travel from Bangalore to the base camp, the second day is dedicated to exploring the stunning Bandaje Falls, and the third day is for the return journey to Bangalore.
The trek is considered of moderate difficulty. While it is suitable for beginners, trekkers should be prepared for some uphill climbs, rough terrain, and the need for physical endurance. Proper footwear and some fitness preparation are advisable.
The weather in the region can vary. It is generally pleasant, with temperatures ranging from 15°C to 25°C. During the monsoon season (June to September), the waterfall is at its full glory, but the terrain can be slippery, so caution is advised.
No specific permits are required for the Bhandaje Falls trek as it is located in the Western Ghats, but it is always recommended to trek with an authorized guide or tour operator who can ensure safety and local regulations are followed.
You should pack:
There are limited washroom facilities along the trek. It’s advisable to carry wet wipes and use the natural surroundings when necessary. At the base camp, basic toilet facilities are provided.

While solo trekking is possible, we highly recommend trekking with a group and a guide for safety reasons. The trail can be difficult, and it is always best to have someone with experience guiding you. Many tour operators offer group treks for a more secure and enjoyable experience.
Accommodation during the trek is usually in tents or homestays at the base camp, depending on the package you choose. Basic facilities are available, and the experience is designed to keep you close to nature.
