From Barshaini, you’ll begin your 9 km trek to Kheerganga, which typically takes about 5-6 hours. The initial part of the trek is a gentle incline, with the trail lined by picturesque apple orchards. As you ascend, you’ll walk through lush forests of towering Deodar trees and oaks. The sound of the Parvati River roaring alongside you will keep you company, its presence constant as you hike.
The final stretch of the trek leads you to Kheerganga, where a well-deserved break awaits. Once you reach the campsite at Kheerganga, relax and unwind. Don’t miss the chance to take a dip in the famous Parvati Kund, a natural hot spring. It’s an incredible experience, with the warm waters contrasting beautifully against the snow-capped peaks surrounding the area.
After soaking in the rejuvenating hot springs, enjoy a delicious meal prepared for you at the campsite. With your body refreshed and your mind at peace, retire to your tents for a restful night under the stars.
Day 2 – Return Trek to Barshaini from Kheerganga (9 km)

7:00 AM – Wake up to the peaceful surroundings of the mountains, with the fresh morning air offering a gentle chill that accompanies the higher altitude.
After a hearty breakfast, begin your return trek back to Barshaini, retracing your steps along the Parvati Valley. On the way back, make sure to explore the quaint villages of Nakthan and Rudra Nag, both offering scenic views and being perfect spots for short breaks. These villages provide a chance to rest and pick up any additional supplies you might need.
Upon reaching Barshaini, your trek comes to an end. From here, you are free to explore more of the area. Consider visiting the charming Tosh Village, a peaceful hamlet with beautiful views. Alternatively, you can spend some time sightseeing or shopping for souvenirs in the town. If you’re feeling adventurous, head towards the Tosh River for a serene experience.
Afterward, you can either return to Kasol or continue your exploration of the beautiful Parvati Valley.
