Day 2 – Trek to Kudremukh Peak & Stay

Trekking: 22 km, Stay in Homestay/Camps
After an early morning arrival at Kudremukh, we’ll head to Kudremukh National Park around 7:00 AM. After a refreshing breakfast to fuel up for the adventure, we’ll make our way to the base camp.
By 9:00 AM, we begin the 22 km trek to Kudremukh Peak (1,848 m), a moderate-grade climb that will take about 5 hours. The trek begins with a muddy path that gradually transforms into a plateau, leading you through vast meadows and grasslands. After the first few kilometers, the trail steepens and remains consistently uphill for the rest of the journey.
The trek offers scenic views, from dense forests to open grasslands, as you make your way toward the summit. Upon reaching the peak in the afternoon, take a well-deserved break and enjoy a packed lunch while soaking in the breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding hills.
After lunch, we’ll begin the descent at 2:00 PM, making our way back to the base camp. We should arrive by 6:00 PM.
To unwind, enjoy a cozy bonfire followed by a delicious local dinner. After a day full of adventure, retire to your accommodation for a restful night, ready for more exploration the next day.
Day 3 – Visit Somawathi Waterfall, Belur Temple, Samse Tea Estate, Hanging Bridge and Return

Start the day early with a delicious breakfast at 8:00 AM. Afterward, we head to the Somawathi Waterfall, where you can take a refreshing dip in the cool, clear waters before heading back to the homestay or campsite.
After checking out, we’ll begin our drive back to Bangalore. En route, we’ll stop at the beautiful Belur Temple around 1:00 PM for a brief visit and exploration. Following the temple visit, we’ll have a self-sponsored lunch.
Next, we’ll head to the scenic Samse Tea Estate and the picturesque Hanging Bridge, perfect for capturing stunning, Instagram-worthy moments.
This marks the end of our journey. We’ll continue our drive back to Bangalore, with a heart full of memories and a camera full of amazing shots!
