Itinerary for Bike tour to Ladakh from Manali

  • Day 1: Arrival in Manali, Local Sightseeing, and Briefing
    We arrive in Manali in the morning, check into our hotel, and relax today to allow our bodies to acclimatise. Discover Manali’s Local Sightseeing. Our Tour Captain Will Brief You On The Ride, Itinerary, Bike Allocation, Etc. Evening at your leisure. Discover and enjoy an overnight stay in a hotel with dinner.

     

  • Day 2: Manali-Jispa (140 Kms )

    Your long-awaited journey to Ladakh has finally begun. Pack your bags and prepare for an exciting ride. Pack your bags and prepare for an exciting ride. On the way, you’ll pass through Atal Tunnel, Tandi (the last petrol station before Upshi), and Keylong. Once you arrive in Jipsa, you will be provided with an overnight stay at one of the camps.

    Day 3 :Jispa to Padum via Shango La Pass ( 140 Kms)

    After breakfast, you begin your journey towards Zanskar on the recently completed road. It’s a little difficult, but it has the best scenery. It takes time to cross Shingo la pass and take pictures with the grand mountain Gumbo Ranjan (Mahakal) and cross the river, among other things. You can enjoy a quick hike or track until Phuktal Gompa, which is only 6 kilometres away, with one side hike to a hidden monastery. You ride to Padum after eating at the campsite. Tonight you will stay in a nice home stay or tents.

  • Day 4 – Padum – Kargil (240 Kms)The journey from Padum to Kargil is approximately 240 kilometres long and includes several high-altitude mountain passes, including the Pensi La pass at 14,500 feet. The road passes through remote villages and provides breathtaking views of the Zanskar valley’s rugged landscape.

  • Day 5- Kargil To Leh (220 Km | 4-5 Hrs | 3,499 M)

    The road from Kargil to Leh is one of the most popular and adventurous routes in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir for motorcycle enthusiasts. The route is approximately 217 kilometres long and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.

    The journey begins in Kargil, a town in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kargil district, and continues through several high-altitude mountain passes, including the Fotu La pass at 13,478 feet. The road provides breathtaking views of the Himalayas’ rugged landscape, with several deep valleys and snow-capped peaks along the way.

    Along the way, riders can explore several ancient monasteries and traditional villages, including the Lamayuru monastery, one of the oldest and largest monasteries in the region. Later Stay at Leh.

  • Day 6- Leh To Nubra Valley (160 Km | 2-3 Hrs | 5,441 M)

The road is narrow and winding, with several steep hairpin bends and unpaved sections, making for a difficult ride for motorcycle enthusiasts.

    The route passes through several remote villages and provides breathtaking views of the Himalayas’ rugged landscape. Along the way, riders can visit several ancient monasteries and traditional villages along the way, including the Diskit monastery, one of the oldest and largest monasteries in the region, and the Hunder village, famous for its sand dunes and Bactrian camels.   • Day 7- Nubra Valley To Pangong Lake (150 Km | 3-4 Hrs | 4,349 M)

    Today, you will leave the harsh region and travel to the pristine Pangong Lake. You will pass through Shyok Village, which has recently opened to tourists. When you reach the shores of this enchanting body of water, take in its beauty and tranquillity, and take photos of the surroundings. Later, return to the campsite for a warm bonfire and a peaceful overnight stay in nature’s lap.

  • Day 8- Pangong To Leh (160 Km | 5-6 Hrs | 4,522 M)

    The road from Pangong Tso to Leh is a scenic and adventurous route for motorcycle enthusiasts visiting the Ladakh region of India. The route covers a distance of approximately 160 kilometers and offers stunning views of the surrounding Himalayan mountains and valleys.

    The route goes through the Chang La pass, which is one of the world’s highest motorable passes at 17,590 feet. The pass provides breathtaking views of the surrounding snow-capped mountains and valleys, and it is a popular destination for photographers.

    Riders can visit several ancient monasteries and traditional villages along the way, including the Thiksey monastery, one of the region’s largest and most famous monasteries, and the Shey palace, which was once the summer retreat of Ladakh’s royal family.

  • Day 9 – Leh To Sarchu (250 Km | 9-10 Hrs | 4,290 M)

    In The Morning, After A Scrumptious Meal Of Breakfast, The Next Stop For Your Tour Is Sarchu. You Will Pass Through The Borders Of Jammu And Kashmir And Himachal Pradesh, Taking In The Panoramic Vision Of The Mighty Mountains And Colors Of Nature. You Will Pass Through The Third Highest Pass, Tanglang La (17,480 ft). Then You Will Pass Through Morey-Plains, A Plateau At A Astounding Height Of 15,500+ft With A 45 km Stretch of Flat Road. You Will Then Cross The Twin Passes – Lachung La (16,616 ft) & Nakee La (15,547 ft) Before Reaching The Famous Gata Loops (21 Hairpin Bends). Then By Evening, You Will Be Reaching Sarchu.

  • Day 10- Sarchu To Manali  (223 Km | 11-12  Hrs | 3,080 M)

    For motorcycle enthusiasts visiting India’s Ladakh region, the road from Sarchu to Manali is a popular and scenic route. The route is approximately 230 kilometres long and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding Himalayan mountains and valleys.

    The journey begins in Sarchu, a high-altitude plateau at 14,500 feet, and continues through several remote villages and breathtaking landscapes. The road is narrow and winding, with several steep hairpin bends and unpaved sections, making for a difficult ride for motorcycle enthusiasts.

    The route passes through several high-altitude passes, including the Baralacha La pass, which is 16,050 feet above sea level.     After breakfast check out from the hotel and you are free to explore the city at your own.

  • The cost of vehicle servicing or maintenance (if own bike)
  • Any lunch and other meals not mentioned in package inclusions
  • Security deposit per motorbike of Rs. 5,000/- . As per the deposit policy (This is refundable at the end of the trip if there is no damage or spare parts used.)
  • Parking and monument entry fees during sightseeing
  • Any costs incurred as a result of an extension or change in itinerary due to natural disasters, roadblocks, vehicle breakdown, union issues, or other factors beyond our control (Extra days stay/food at any location during the tour due to bad weather or roadblocks due to snow)
  • Riding equipment for rent (knee pads and elbow guards – Rs. 750/- for the entire trip)

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • The check-in time is 12 noon/early check-in is subject to room availability.
  • The check-out time is 10 a.m.
  • We require a minimum of 8 riders to operate one group. We reserve the right to cancel any group if the required number of riders is not met.
  • If there are any additional expenses due to bad weather or other factors beyond the tour operator’s control, such as hotel stays, transportation, and meals, an additional bill will be raised. The additional costs will not be borne by BACKPACKCLAN or the participating partners/hotels.
  • BACKPACKCLAN is not responsible for any itinerary changes caused by factors beyond our control, such as changes in flight and train schedules, cancellation of flights/trains, political disturbances, natural phenomena, and so on.
  • If any group member wishes to leave the tour in the middle, he or she must pay the cost of transportation of the bike from the point of departure to the Manali drop-off point.
  • Members of the group would have to purchase their own riding equipment. It is mandatory to wear a helmet and have a valid ID and driver’s licence.
  • All guests will be responsible for their own luggage’s safety and security. We will not be held liable for any damage, missing, or lost luggage. Carry a small daypack bag to carry all of your valuables. Compensation for any damage/accident caused by you during the tour to others’ property/persons would be payable directly by you.
  • Any inappropriate behaviour by the client during the trip will not be tolerated, and Backpackclan (KSN Tours Private Limited) reserves the right to cancel such bookings at any time during the trip without refund
  • Bookings are not transferable and are not refundable
  • In the event of any changes to the booking, the consumer must notify Backpackclan in advance (KSN Tours Private Limited)
  • The booking cannot be transferred. Only the names listed at the time of booking will be permitted to travel.
  • IF WE CHANGE OR CANCEL YOUR ADVENTURE HOLIDAY
    We do make advance preparations. We are unlikely to have to make any changes to your travel plans. We may need to make changes due to Force Majeure Events on occasion, and we reserve the right to do so at any time before or during the trip.
    If any changes occur as a result of Force Majeure Events, we will notify you as soon as possible before or during the trip.
  • We also reserve the right, in the event of Force Majeure, to cancel your travel arrangements, offer alternative dates, or revise the itinerary before or during the trip. Any additional costs incurred as a result of the aforementioned reasons must be borne by the traveller. Under Force Majeure Events, the traveller will not be refunded.
  • Force Majeure Event shall mean and include any circumstance beyond BACKPACKCLAN’s reasonable control, including, without limitation, any act of nature or the public enemy, accident, explosion, fire, storm, earthquake, flood, drought, perils of the sea, casualty, strikes, lock-outs, labour troubles, riots, sabotage, terrorist acts, embargo, war (whether declared or not), governmental actions, delay in issuance or processing of Visa/permit, change of laws and or other causes of like or different character beyond the control of BACKPACKCLAN
  • IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO MODIFY YOUR ADVENTURE HOLIDAY PLAN, If you make a full or partial payment and want to change your travel arrangements in any way (for example, your preferred departure date or accommodation), we will do our best to accommodate you, but this may not always be possible.
    Any request for changes must be made in writing by the person who made the reservation. The traveller will be responsible for any costs incurred as a result of the amendment.
  • ALL DISPUTES ARE SUBJECT TO THE JURISDICTION OF DELHI.
    Road closures/blocks caused by snow accumulation on the highway, which may jeopardise the tour’s safety or smooth operation, may result in a change of itinerary or cancellation of the trip.
    In such cases, Backpackclan will not issue any refunds.

Cancellations received more than 60 days before the tour’s start date will be subject to a Rs.5,000/- cancellation fee per person.
Cancellations received less than 45 days prior to departure will result in a 25% tour cost forfeit;

45-30 days – 50% tour cost;

30-20 days – 75% tour cost;

within 20 days – 100% tour cost.

There will be no exceptions to this policy for any reason.

To avoid altitude sickness, proper precautions must be taken, as well as appropriate gear and clothing for the journey.
