Begin your journey from Srinagar to Shitkadi, Sonamarg, enjoying scenic views of villages, farmlands, and the Sindh River. En route, your trek leader will brief you about the upcoming adventure. Upon reaching the base camp, savor a welcome drink and snacks. Explore the picturesque surroundings if time allows, followed by a delightful dinner and bonfire. Spend a serene night in the camp, preparing for the trek ahead.
After breakfast, begin your trek to the Nichnai campsite.Your first stop is Tabletop, a scenic plateau offering panoramic views of the Thajiwas Mountain Range and the Amarnath Peak.Continue trekking along a river canal, with the trail opening up to towering mountains. Cross a river under the guidance of your trek leaders. As you near the Nichnai campsite, the surroundings become increasingly breathtaking, promising a serene and picturesque setting to end your day.
Begin your day with breakfast and collect your packed lunch for the trek.Head towards Nichnai Pass, crossing a ridgeline that reveals a stunning valley. The ascent is steady, with rocky trails and breathtaking views of rugged and snow-capped mountain ranges on either side.After several kilometers, reach the campsite near streams flowing from the beautiful Vishansar Lake. Relax by the river, enjoy a snack, and soak in the serene surroundings, rich with natural beauty and vibrant wildlife.
Start early for the trek's most challenging day. Within an hour, admire the serene Vishansar and Kishansar Lakes, sacred sites feeding the Kishanganga River.Begin a steep two-hour ascent to Gadsar Pass, the trek's highest point, offering breathtaking views.After a short rest, descend carefully to Gadsar Meadow, a vibrant expanse of lush greenery and wildflowers. Nearby lies the stunning, secluded Gadsar Lake, only accessible on this trek. The campsite is a short walk from the lake.
Begin the day with a one-hour ascent to the scenic Satsar Meadow. The trail then eases, leading through lush grasses, rocky patches, and water-filled plains.The rugged terrain opens to a valley housing seven alpine lakes, with one visible along the way. Take time to relax and explore the serene lake surroundings.Continue the journey to the campsite, nestled beside a river stream, where you can unwind and enjoy the tranquility of the area.
Start the trek navigating boulders and rocky terrain, leading to a steep three-hour climb to Zajibal Pass at 4,000 meters. Enjoy the stunning views before descending through narrow meadows and changing landscapes. Witness the largest Satsar Lake along the way and continue toward Gangabal Valley.Reach the twin glacial lakes, Nundkol and Gangabal, fed by glaciers from Mount Harmukh. Gangabal Lake is just a 25-minute walk from Nundkol, offering serene and breathtaking surroundings.
After breakfast, begin your final trek to Naranag with a gradual descent through Trunkhol's lush meadows, adorned with yellow flowers and shepherds' mud houses.Stop to relax or enjoy local tea if time permits.Continue through the forest to Butsheri Top, followed by a challenging three-hour descent.The path, though not dangerous, is tough on the legs, so take precautions. As you descend, spot houses below before reaching Naranag, the trek's endpoint, where you can rest before departing.
