Day 1 – Arrival in Srinagar | Welcome to Kashmir Arrive in Srinagar, the beautiful gateway to your Himalayan adventure. Meet the BackpackClan team, check in to your hotel, and relax after your journey. Depending on your arrival time, explore the local market, enjoy the scenic views of Dal Lake, or take an optional Shikara ride. In the evening, meet your fellow riders for a tour briefing and prepare for the exciting motorcycle expedition ahead. Overnight Stay: Srinagar Meals: Dinner

Approx. 200–210 km Your Himalayan motorcycle expedition begins in Srinagar. After an early breakfast, meet the riding team and begin your journey towards Kargil. The route takes you through the beautiful Kashmir Valley before climbing towards the mighty Zoji La. En

Ride deeper into Ladakh through rugged mountain terrain and high mountain passes. Visit Mulbekh, cross Namika La and Fotu La, and admire Lamayuru's remarkable lunar-like landscape. Continue towards Leh, stopping at Magnetic Hill, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib and the Indus–Zanskar Confluence, subject to time.

Spend the day acclimatising to Ladakh's high altitude before continuing towards remote mountain regions. Explore Leh Palace, Shanti Stupa and the local market at a relaxed pace. Attend any necessary permit checks and prepare for the upcoming rides.

Altitude: Hunder approx. 3,050 m / 10,000 ft Start the ride towards Nubra Valley via Khardung La. Enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding mountains before descending into the valley. Visit Diskit Monastery and explore Hunder's famous sand dunes, where the cold desert landscape creates a striking contrast with the mountains.

After breakfast, ride towards the breathtaking Pangong Tso through the Shyok Valley route, subject to road conditions. Watch the rugged terrain gradually give way to the lake's remarkable blue waters. Spend the evening enjoying the peaceful surroundings and spectacular mountain views.

Leave Pangong and ride into the remote Changthang region towards Hanle. The route passes through expansive high-altitude landscapes and remote settlements around Chushul and the Rezang La region, subject to permitted access. Reach Hanle and enjoy its quiet surroundings and clear night skies.

An adventurous day through the remote high-altitude landscapes of Ladakh. Ride towards Umling La, subject to road access, permits and weather conditions, and experience the extraordinary terrain around the pass. Continue towards Tso Moriri using the route approved by the tour leader and local authorities. This is an exceptionally demanding day. The exact distance and feasibility of reaching Tso Moriri on the same day must be confirmed against the operating route and current road conditions.

Highlights: Umling La, remote Changthang landscapes

Altitude: Leh approx. 3,500 m / 11,480 ft Enjoy the morning views of Tso Moriri, a spectacular high-altitude lake surrounded by mountains. After breakfast, begin the ride back towards Leh through the rugged Changthang landscape. Stop at scenic viewpoints along the way and reach Leh by evening.
