Your Kashmir holiday begins with an evening departure from Delhi by Volvo bus towards Jammu. Settle into your comfortable seat and enjoy the overnight journey towards Jammu. The journey takes you from the plains of North India towards the foothills of the Himalayas. Overnight travel allows you to save daytime hours and begin your Kashmir exploration from Jammu.
Arrive in Jammu and proceed towards Srinagar by road. The journey gradually transforms from the plains into the dramatic Himalayan landscape, with winding mountain roads, valleys and rivers accompanying you along the way. Upon arrival in Srinagar, check in to your hotel and relax after the journey. Depending on your arrival time, you can spend the evening at leisure or take a relaxed walk around the local surroundings.
After breakfast, set out for a full-day excursion to Gulmarg , one of Kashmir's most popular mountain destinations. Surrounded by towering Himalayan peaks, Gulmarg is known for its lush green meadows during summer and snow-covered landscapes during winter. The destination is also famous for the Gulmarg Gondola , one of the world's highest and longest-running cable car systems. Spend the day exploring the meadows, enjoying mountain views and experiencing optional activities depending on the season. You may also opt for the Gondola ride at your own expense, subject to weather and operational conditions.
After breakfast, leave for a full-day excursion to Sonmarg , popularly known as the Meadow of Gold . The drive to Sonmarg is itself an attraction, taking you through spectacular Himalayan scenery, mountain streams and green valleys. Spend time exploring the beautiful surroundings of Sonmarg and enjoy views of the surrounding mountains. Depending on weather and local regulations, optional activities such as pony rides or a visit towards the Thajiwas Glacier area can be arranged at an additional cost. Later, drive back to Srinagar.
After breakfast, proceed towards Pahalgam , one of Kashmir's most scenic destinations. The journey takes you through the countryside and beautiful landscapes of the Kashmir Valley. Pahalgam is surrounded by mountains, pine forests and flowing rivers, making it an ideal destination for nature lovers. Spend the day exploring Pahalgam and its surrounding areas. You can visit popular local spots such as Betaab Valley, Aru Valley and Chandanwari , subject to local vehicle regulations and additional charges.
After breakfast, dedicate the day to exploring Srinagar. Visit some of the city's popular attractions, such as: Dal Lake Mughal Gardens Nishat Bagh Shalimar Bagh Pari Mahal Hazratbal Shrine Local markets and handicraft shops Later, enjoy a relaxing houseboat experience on Dal Lake. The traditional Kashmiri houseboats are an integral part of Srinagar's tourism heritage and offer a peaceful way to experience the lake. Spend the evening enjoying the views of the surrounding mountains and lake.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and begin your journey towards Jammu. Upon reaching Jammu, board your Volvo bus for the overnight journey back to Delhi. Relax and enjoy the overnight journey as your Kashmir holiday comes to an end.
