Day 01 : – Mcleodganj – Triund (2975m) 9Km
Here we go, The trek goes through mixed forest of oak, rhododendron and deodar trees. Starting 2 KM’s of this trek is a steep ascent but there is a gradual ascent after Galu Devi temple then the last 1 km patch is again a steep ascent through the forest. Triund is a flat meadow on top of a ridge, from here you would amazed with the panoramic view of Dhauladhar range on one side and Kangra valley on the other side. You would surely love the memorable sight. Overnight stay in Camps.
Day 02 : Triund – Lahes Cave (3700m) 7km
Wake up in the morning. After Breakfast we will start our trek a short ascent from Triund traverse a ridge to reach Laka Got – a temporary Shephard Camp. Laka Got is situated at the snout of a small glacier, Generally, It is full of snow and ice from winters to early summers and the snow melts away during the monsoon. After a short break at Laka Got, We will trek further , The next 2Kms is steep ascent over a rocky ridge to reach Lahes cave. Over Night stay in the cave or camp at Laka Got.
Day 03 : Lahes cave – Inderhara pass (4350m) – Laka Got
Today, we will start early in the morning, The weather gets bad in the afternoon. In the early summer (April to May) the trail is full of snow and ice and reqiure good equipment. During post monsoon (September to November) there is no snow or ice and there is narrow trail going up to the pass. It would take around three hours to reach the pass and another three hours to come down. Beautiful view of entire Pir Panjal range of central Himalayas. After spending some time we will head back to Laka and Overnight stay would be in Laka Got for night stay.
Day 04: Laka Got – Mcleodganj 15km
After Breakfast we will start Follow the same route on the way back or a different one from Triund going over a grassy meadow and descend down to Bhagsu Nag and then to Mcleodganj.
Best time to do this.. April – November | 03 Nights / 04 days.
Maximum elevation : 4350 Mtrs.
