Trip Schedule

Day 1 (350 kms)

Chandigarh to Shimla

Departure from Chandigarh & head towards Shimla. Lose yourself amidst scenic valleys on either side of the road. Dinner & overnight stay at Shimla.

Day 2 (250kms)

Shimla to Sangla/Chitkul

After breakfast, leave for Chitkul the last village on old Indo-Tibetan trade route. Walk through the green orchards, by a brilliant stream. As the day falls, return to your guest house in Sangla for dinner and overnight stay

Day 3 (150kms)

Sangla/Chitkul to Nako

After breakfast we shall leave for Nako enroute visit reckong peo market and on arrival at evening at nako we shall check in the hotel / camp, overnight stay and dinner at Nako.

Nako sightseeing: – explore nako with its thousand year old Nako monastery and footprints of lord padmasambhava.

Day 4 (120kms)

Nako to Kaza

After breakfast we shall leave for kaza via tabo and on arrival at kaza we shall check in the hotel and the rest of the day is at leisure. Visit gue monastery at gue village.

Tabo sightseeing: – chogskhor monastery, the golden temple, bodhisattva maitreya temple, the chamber of picture, mahakala vajra bhairava temple, temple of dromton, temple of the enlightened gods. Overnight stay and dinner at kaza..

Day 5 (40-50kms)

Kaza local sightseeing

After breakfast we shall leave for ki kibber monastery and kibber village and after full day sightseeing we shall return to the hotel for the dinner and overnight stay.

Kaza sightseeing: – kibber village, ki monastery, hikkim, komic monastery, sakya tangyud monastery, langza village

Day 6 (200 kms)

Kaza to kalpa

After breakfast we shall leave for kalpa and on arrival we shall check in the hotel for the overnight stay. Kalpa is the district headquarters of kinnaur and was once the favorite getaway of lord dalhousie. Little has changed in kalpa in the last 500 years. Legend has it that when lord dalhousie wanted to take a break from his hectic schedule in shimla, he would come here on his horseback. By the side of kalpa is a 79-foot rock formation that resembles a shivling that changes the colour as the day passes and is visible to the naked eye on a clear day. Day 7 (225kms)

Kalpa to Narkanda

After breakfast we shall leave for narkanda, and on arrival at narkanda, check in to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay. If time permits, visit the local market of narkanda.

Day 8 (350kms)

Narkanda to Chandigarh

Morning drive to Chandigarh by road. Tour ends.

  • All personal expenses, optional tours, tips and extra meals.
  • Anything that is not mentioned in inclusions.
  • If we change or cancel your adventure holiday
  • We do plan the arrangements in advance. It is unlikely that we will have to make any changes to your travel arrangements.
  • Occasionally, we may have to make changes due to force majeure events and we reserve the right to do so at any time before or during the trip.
  • If there are any changes, we will advise you of them at the earliest possible date before or during the trip based on the force majeure events.
  • We also reserve the right under force majeure events to cancel your travel arrangements / offer alternative dates / revise the itinerary before or during the trip.
  • Any additional cost incurred due to the above mentioned reasons will have to be borne by the traveller himself. There shall be no refund to the traveller under force majeure events.
  • Force majeure event shall mean and include any circumstance beyond the reasonable control of backpackclan (a unit of ksn tours pvt ltd), including without limitation, any act of nature or the public enemy, accident, explosion, fire, storm, earthquake, flood, drought, perils of the sea, casualty, strikes, lock-outs, labour troubles, riots, sabotage, terrorists acts, embargo, war (whether or not declared), governmental actions, delay in issuance or processing of visa/permit, change of laws and regulations, orders, or decrees, or other causes of like or different character beyond the control of backpackclan (a unit of ksn tours pvt ltd). If you want to change your adventure holiday
  • Plan after you make full or partial payment, if you wish to change your travel arrangements in any way (e.g. Your chosen departure date or accommodation), we will do our utmost to make these changes but it may not always be possible. Any request for changes must be in writing from the person who made the booking. All cost incurred due to amendment will be borne by the traveller himself.
  • All disputes are subject to delhi jurisdiction
  • Cancellations received more than 60 days prior to the date of tour start will be subject to the following a Rs.5,000/- per person cancellation fee.
  • Cancellations received less than 45 days prior to departure will be subject to the following forfeit of 25% tour cost
  • 45-30 days – 50 % of the tour cost 30-20 days- 75% of tour cost within 20 days- 100% of tour cost.
  • No exception to this policy can be made for any reason.

Description

Spiti Valley is a cold desert mountain valley located high in the Himalayas in the North-Eastern part of the Northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. The name “Spiti” means “The middle land”, i.e. the land between Tibet and India. The valley has a total different landscape and feeling during the winters, when almost the whole valley turns white.
