Day 1: Arrival : Arrive in Guwahati and check in to your comfortable rooms. This is reserved for documentation, bike allocation, bike check up, round of briefing and local sightseeing. Over Night stay in Hotel and Dinner in Hotel.
Day2: Guwahati to Kaziranga : After breakfast, A quick brief for the day’s ride and we will start our ride. We will ride towards Kaziranga along the scenic NH 27. The distance is around 200 KM’s. Kaziranga National Park, is a UNESCO world heritage sites of India and known for Great Indian one horned Rhinoceros. Spread across the floodplains of the Brahmaputra River is also home of Tigers and Elephants. A quick lunch at the Resort/Hotel and we will be off to a Jeep Safari. After Safari we will back to our Hotel/ Resort. Overnight dinner and stay in Hotel\Resort.
Day 3: Ride to Majuli Island : Wakeup, The Piping Hot Breakfast is waiting for you. Lined up for the ride, we will take a halt at Jorhat on the way. We will set out for our next destination which is Majuli. Majuli Island is the world’s largest fresh water Island. Majuli is a beautiful lush green environment-friendly breath taking place with green rice fields. You would fall in love with place. The island is home to nearly 100 species so relax and enjoy the bird watching and scenic beauty of this place.
Day 4: Majuli Island to Kohima : Get ready to enthralled by an explosion of culture, dance, music, art, cuisine and so much more. Our Next stop is Kohima which is around 220 KM’s from Majuli Island. Next 2 days are dedicated for Hornbill Festival. Reach Kohima and relax and explore.
Day 5 : Rest Day Horn Bill Festival : Hornbill Festival is held at Naga Heritage Village, Kisama which is about 12 km from Kohima. It is also known as festivals of Festivals. You would love to see the traditional ceremonial attire of each tribe, variety of food such as ork, chicken, beef, fish, leafy vegetable stews and sauces and curries served with spicy rice. Every night, there is an ongoing Rock Festival at the nearby IG Stadium. Top bands from Nagaland and the rest of India perform.
Day 6 : Dimapur : After Breakfast, We will ride back towards Dimapur. It’s a short ride of only 80 KM’s. Dimapur used to be an ancient capital of the Kachchari Kingdom. Its worth visiting discerning architecture enthusiast. We can visit to the Chumukedima Village and the Diezephe Craft villages for cultural experience.
Day 7 : Dimapur to Shillong : Today, We will start early in morning after breakfast. It is one of the longest riding day. Today we will ride till Shillong which is around 350 KM’s away on mostly good roads. Its Meghalaya’s turn we will enter Shillong which as known as mini Scotland. The city is also known for its good night life with delightful eating places and rock bars and cafes. Explore and enjoy.
Day 8 : Shillong : An Early morning ride to see the Living Root Bridge near Mawlynnong village. Which is also declared as the cleanest village in Asia, Mawlynnong is located near the Bangladesh border, We will visit the unbelievably clean waters of Umngot River. We ride for another 3 hours to Dawki for a boat ride on this amazingly clean river. On the way back, we will see Elephanta Falls. You must dine at any one of the local eating places at Shillong.
Day 9 : Guwahati & Fly Out
This is last day of our North East ride. We would ride from Shillong to Guwahati. Once reach we will deposit our bikes. We bid farewell to North East, as you fly out to our destined places.
